The government is expected to decide about the most important issues related to building the capital's fourth underground line next week.
Speaking to MTI on Saturday, Mayor of Budapest Gabor Demszky said the economic cabinet discussed the bill on line No. 4 on Friday. If the government approves it, the bill could go before Parliament in the remainder of the month, Demszky said.
He said the government decision is expected to involve the financing of the new line, its route, as well as launching the investment this year and monitoring the use of funds.
Demszky said he hopes he will be able to hold a joint press briefing with Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy about the project next Wednesday.
