- Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy and Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Pal Csaky exchanged views on developing bilateral relations and capitalising on cooperation opportunities to be offered by the two countries' forthcoming EU membership in Budapest on Thursday.
Medgyessy and Csaky expressed support for further cooperation within the Visegrad group, the press bureau of the Prime Minister's Office told MTI.
The two politicians agreed on the need to modernise roads connecting Hungary and Slovakia.
Medgyessy said he hoped Hungarian-Slovak disputes concerning the benefit law would be settled in a European spirit, to the satisfaction of both countries.
The Hungarian premier welcomed the Slovak government's resolution to establish a Hungarian-language university in Komarno.
