The cabinet has approved a strategy pertaining to the operation of civic organisations.  

From 2004 budget support will be available to civic organisations through the basic programme, matching amounts raised through discretionary one-percent personal income tax donations, said Peter Kiss after the cabinet session in Budapest on Wednesday.  

Chancellery head Kiss said the bill on the National Civic Basic Programme will be submitted to Parliament this spring in addition to a resolution on the strategy for civic organisations.
